Reporting Serious ISSUES/PRoblems
"Sponsors shall inform the Department of State promptly by telephone (confirmed promptly in writing) or facsimile of any serious problem or controversy which could be expected to bring the Department of State or the sponsor's exchange visitor program into notoriety or disrepute.”
This includes:
A Host Employer or other individuals may not threaten your visa or J-1 status. Complaints or concerns will also not impact your status as an Exchange Visitor.

- Hurricane Evacuation- LIST TEMPORARY ADDRESS BELOW AND A PHONE NUMBER
- any serious situation that has or could have the effect of endangering the health, safety, or welfare of an exchange visitor;
- serious accidents;
- exchange visitor arrest or involvement with police;
- engagement in illegal or immoral activities;
- harassment or abuse allegations;
- litigation related to your exchange visitor program,
- exchange visitor hospitalization, serious illness, death, etc.or any other issue that you feel is important for the Sponsor to know
